This year's results represent a significant milestone for the school, with students achieving the highest average grade in Tapton's history. An impressive 25% of all grades were awarded at grades 9-8, while almost 40% of grades were awarded at grades 9-7, demonstrating the exceptional academic achievement of Tapton students. In addition, 73.1% of all grades were awarded at grade 5 or above.

Four students achieved the remarkable feat of securing straight grade 9s across all of their subjects, highlighting the exceptional attainment achieved by the cohort.

The proportion of students achieving grade 5 or above in both English and Mathematics has risen by 5 percentage points compared to last year, with 73% of students achieving this key benchmark. Meanwhile, 85% of students achieved grade 4 or above in both English and Mathematics.

The outstanding outcomes reflect the hard work, determination and ambition of students, alongside the expertise, dedication and unwavering support of staff and families, whose encouragement and partnership have played a vital role in students' success.

The results are particularly impressive given the breadth and ambition of Tapton's curriculum. Students have achieved success across a wide range of GCSE qualifications, demonstrating excellence in academic, creative and practical subjects. These outcomes reflect the school's commitment to ensuring that every student can pursue a pathway that matches their talents, interests and aspirations.

At the heart of this success are Tapton's values of Community, Character and Curiosity. As a diverse and inclusive school community, Tapton combines high challenge with high support, enabling students to flourish both academically and personally. Alongside their studies, students have embraced a wide range of enrichment opportunities that contribute to their development as confident, resilient and well-rounded young people.

Many students will now continue their educational journey at Tapton Sixth Form, one of the leading sixth forms in the region. Reflecting the strength of this year's cohort and the continued popularity of the provision, the school is set to welcome its largest-ever Year 12 intake this September. Other students will progress to a range of college courses and specialist providers, pursuing vocational pathways that reflect their interests, talents and career aspirations.

These outstanding results are testament not only to the achievements of students, but also to the passion, innovation and commitment of Tapton's teaching and support staff, who work tirelessly to ensure every young person achieves their full potential.

Harkiran Grewal and Anna Siddell, Co-Heads of School, said:
