An outstanding 72% of grades were awarded at A*-B, an increase of 6 percentage points on last year's results and the highest figure ever achieved by the school. Almost 45% of all grades were awarded at A*-A, including 100 A* grades and 182 A grades across 630 examination entries.

Performance is expected to place Tapton among the top 5% of centres nationally, with an average point score of over 40. Students made outstanding progress during their Sixth Form studies, with the school adding, on average, a third of a grade to each student's outcomes.

These exceptional outcomes were achieved by over 200 students and reflect the dedication and ambition of students, the expertise of staff and Tapton's values of Community, Character and Curiosity.

A particular strength of Tapton Sixth Form is the breadth of its curriculum. Students achieved these outstanding outcomes across 27 A Level subjects, one of the broadest sixth form offers in the region. From sciences and mathematics to humanities, languages and the creative arts, students are able to pursue ambitious pathways that reflect their talents, interests and aspirations. The strength of results across such a broad range of subjects demonstrates both the quality of teaching and the intellectual curiosity of Tapton students.

Importantly, these achievements have been secured alongside a rich programme of extra-curricular and super-curricular opportunities. From leadership and volunteering to academic societies, enrichment programmes and wider reading, students have embraced opportunities beyond the classroom as part of Tapton's commitment to educating the whole child.

As a diverse and inclusive community united by a shared commitment to character, curiosity and excellence, Tapton combines high challenge with high support, ensuring every student is both stretched and guided to achieve their very best. Welcoming students from more than 30 schools and institutions, the Sixth Form provides a vibrant and ambitious learning environment where young people are encouraged to think deeply, act thoughtfully and engage with the world beyond the classroom.

The results continue Tapton's tradition of enabling students to secure exceptional destinations that reflect their talents and aspirations. This year, five students have secured places at Oxford and Cambridge, while 16 students will progress to highly competitive courses in Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science.

Students will be embarking on a remarkable variety of university and career pathways, including Aeronautical Engineering, PPE, Speech and Language Therapy, Costume Design, Zoology, Modern Languages, Law and History, alongside many other disciplines. The breadth of destinations reflects both the diversity of student interests and the strength of Tapton's broad and ambitious curriculum.

Alongside places at leading Russell Group universities and prestigious conservatoires, students have also secured a wide range of apprenticeships and employment opportunities, demonstrating the many different routes through which Tapton students achieve success.

The success of this year's cohort reflects not only the commitment of students but also the passion, innovation and expertise of Tapton's teaching and support staff, whose unwavering support has enabled students to flourish and achieve their potential.
