Exam and Assessment Results
2026 was another excellent year for our students and the results were our best on record.
At GCSE:
- 73% of pupils achieved a strong pass (Grade 5+) in both English and Maths.
- 85% of pupils achieved a good pass (Grade 4+) in both English and Maths.
The Attainment 8 score for Tapton School in 202 was 58.93. This is a score based on how well students have performed in their best 8 subjects and our highest on record.
Sixth Form:
We are delighted to report that we have achieved our highest ever results since the introduction of the current league table methodology in 2013.
Our students achieved an average grade B+ and 72% of all A Level grades were A*-B. In addition, we achieved a value-added score of +0.30. This means that on average our students made nearly a third of a grade of additional progress on each of their qualifications - a truly outstanding achievement.
